U.S. Virgin islands silver jackets

The U.S. Virgin Islands (USVI) Silver Jackets is a team of dedicated people from various agencies that collaborate on bringing resources, funding, and programs together to help achieve the territory’s flood risk management goals.

Projects selected for funding in FY 2021 address flood risk management priorities and include conducting an educational campaign designed to equip people with knowledge about the watersheds in which they live.  Watershed education increases awareness and provides the confidence needed to take action regarding hazard mitigation planning and floodplain management in their communities.

Vision Statement

An interagency team dedicated to improving the quality of life, infrastructure, and the environment by making the U.S. Virgin Islands more resilient to natural disasters.
