North Carolina Silver Jackets Risk Management Coordinating Council (RMCC)

While there is currently no stand-alone Silver Jackets team in North Carolina, there are various interagency initiatives including the State Hazard Mitigation Advisory Group (SHMAG).

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers NC Silver Jackets coordinator has worked through the Corps to establish new relationships in North Carolina in the area of Flood Risk Management and to develop a close relationship with the Virginia Silver Jackets team. Some outcomes of these efforts include a training workshop on the Corps’ Hydrologic Engineering Centers River Analysis System (HEC-RAS) software for state hydraulic engineers.
